SINGLE Review: 'Less Than Lovers' - XO

XO is a Midlands-based R&B artist who had a smash hit earlier this year with 'Shut It Down' and has now released 'Less Than Lovers'. 

It's a modern, refreshing R&B track, with a seductive side.

The chorus is catchy and infectious. 

 “Less than lovers but more than friends, that’s the only way this makes sense…, " XO is honest about his intentions. "You and I know the situation, baby".

The vocals are mesmerising and layered over guitars, a punchy bassline and an Indian vocal sample. In this way, he fuses both eastern and western influences.

At only 24, he has received praise and support from A-listers such as Diplo, Tyga & Majid Jordan - and it's easy to see why!
