LIVE Review: Fontaines DC at Rough Trade Nottingham

The band that everybody is talking about, Fontaines DC, played an intimate gig at the epic Rough Trade store in Nottingham, ahead of their headline show at Rescue Rooms later that day.

I was lucky enough to attend the sold-out show. I have to say, I was super excited to be seeing them live because there's something so fresh about their sound. A lot of people must have agreed because I've never seen the venue so busy!

The Irish five piece started their set with 'Chequeless Reckless' followed by 'Sha Sha Sha'. They also played current single 'Boys in the Better Land' and ended with 'Too Real' and then 'Big'. The band were signing albums straight after. Their debut album 'Dogrel' shot to Number 4 in the Offical Album Charts.

"I'm gonna to be big" is no small threat. Fontaines DC are set to become one of the biggest bands on the planet..

They're back in Nottingham in 2020. Grab your tickets while you can because they're selling fast!
