AD (gifted) The Body Shop Shea Butter Launch Event

I was recently invited to an event at The Body Shop to celebrate the launch of new products in the Shea Butter range.

There was a small group of us, and it was lovely because most of us had met at previous Body Shop events.

Chloe from the store gave us a talk on the Shea Butter range and how the products are sustainably sourced from Tungteiya in Northern Ghana. 640 women from 11 villages are employed to handcraft shea butter which is then turned into body butters, body lotions, shampoos and perfumes.

The important thing is that The Body Shop pays the women a fair price and also funds community projects that build school and provide access to education to education and health centres. I've linked a video below which gives more information.

We had fun at the event playing with some of the products. We even made DIY lip scrubs from pure shea butter and sugar, which were intensely nourishing. Everything from the range smells gorgeous.

I took home the whipped shea butter body lotion and I'm really enjoying using it.

The Body Shop very kindly gifted me a small goody bag for attending.
Have you tried the Shea Butter range? What did you try and what did you think?

Thank you for reading.
