Queen fashionista Olivia Palermo has teamed up with Ciate to produce a lipstick collection consisting of 4 shades; Cashmere, Praline, Truffle and Velveteen- all shades you can imagine Olivia Palermo herself wearing. Very classic colours.
I decided to order the shade Praline,

Although I would usually associate Ciate with nails, I have to say the quality of this lipstick was very impressive, with its creamy consistency and smooth feel.
An added luxurious touch is the fact that the lipstick bullet has OP’s initials monogrammed onto one side and the Ciate ribbon logo on the other. You can see that a lot of work and thought has gone into them. Unfortunately, I can’t photograph a pristine version for you, seeing as I was too impatient and had to try them before I got a chance to blog. The pictures I have taken should give an idea of the detailing though.
The packaging even has a leather effect, which I thought was really cool.
They claim to provide:
· “bold coverage and satin texture”, which I definitely agree with.
· “one swipe colour pay-off” which, again, I agree with and
· Have been “infused with hydrating properties for more kissable lips”.
In terms of ‘wear’, one coat is more than enough, but I applied two coats, just because. To test it out, I applied at 1pm and, as I type this at 6pm, the colour is still on my lips, considering I’ve been eating and drinking too.
As far as ‘hydrating’, I noticed a little bit of softness but I don’t think it did much in that department, to be perfectly honest.
If I have one complaint it would be that I was slightly disappointed with the lipstick shade itself. It is a greyish nude, which I don’t think suits my deeper complexion. It might suit other people but I’m not sure that I love it, myself.

I actually purchased mine a little while ago and I believe the collection was limited edition, but there are still some on ASOS. The shade velveteen is available for £19, but hurry, because they are low in stock.
Personally, I love these lipsticks and the fact that they were created by Olivia Palermo (I’m a big fan) and I would love to try another shade. At £19, they are a little pricey though.
Have you tried the Ciate x Olivia Palermo Satin Kiss Lipsticks? If so, what did you think?
