Lush Face Mask: The Sacred Truth

I recently felt like treating myself to a face mask and ‘TheSacred Truth’ seemed liked the one to go for. The lady in store helped me decide and advised me on its benefits. With honey that works as an antibacterial agent, yogurt to moisturise and papaya to exfoliate, this was a great all rounder face mask.

Whilst the colour doesn’t look so great, the smell is actually a lot more pleasant than I was expecting. It actually has a really satisfying smell and smells of lavender, especially as I washed it off. A really calming scent. It’s funny because the ingredients don’t actually include lavender, as far as I know.
This mask is to be kept on for 5 to 10 minutes and has a thick texture and lumpy bits, which feels a bit weird but is also ‘fun’ like a lot of Lush products.
The mask left my face feeling and looking fresh. My skin also felt very soft and smooth, so the moisturising properties of the mask did work.
Although it was a pain that the mask had to be stored in the fridge, I have to admit the cooling feeling when applying the mask at the end of the day was incredible.
I would use this mask again, and I would recommend you give it a go, but it was just a shame that it had to be kept in the fridge. The short expiry date (around a month) meant I didn’t get to use it much, so I don’t think it was good value for money, for me personally.
On the plus side, I now have enough Lush containers to take into the store and exchange for a free mask. Let’s be honest, we know it’s all about those freebies. ;)

What’s your favourite Lush mask?
